Testing Out WordOps: Here’s What I Discovered!

Posted on March 4, 2025March 4, 2025 by Think

I had some first thoughts about wordops I don’t want to say now because I’d sound like fool because I realized what I was doing wrong here.

I realized there a few things I missed in the guide so I had to take some time and go back to it.

Trouble shooting I did to try to fix this..

  • Checked resolv.conf – made sure dns set to google (verified) but wordops failed to work
  • changed hostname – Failed to work
  • disabled fail2ban – Failed to work
  • disabled iptables – Failed to work
  • Rebooted the vps just for laughs at this point
  • it worked a for a few minutes then stopped
  • I tried using mobile data and thats when it worked just fine so then I used vpn 2 different states it didn’t work
  • Tried it on other vps
  • I thought about it and realized perhaps I did it wrong so I tried this
  • Started off with fresh in stall vps
  • this time I set the hostname to something that resolves
  • then I installed it. in cloudflare as long as I disable the protection it works

The best way to get this working follow these steps

  1. Make sure you change your host name
  2. Verify your A record is added to your domain
  3. Forget about using cloudflare protected dns it doesn’t seem to work use the letsencrypt feature with word ops – Click here
  4. For the rest of the instructions follow here 1 Prerequesites 2 Install

Enjoy have fun
